Merry Christmas!

We had lots of fun this Christmas! Rexford was nervous about Santa coming in the house but was excited about the whole season. He has stayed busy playing with all of his new toys and has given up naps. Austin loved looking at lights and decorations but was not as into everything as Rexford and I think was a little overwhelmed by everything. On Christmas morning while we were opening presents he went into his room and I found him laying on the floor with his blanket. He enjoyed the new toys once we opened them and put them in his room and has been having fun discovering them. You will notice we got a few big items and so after Christmas I spent the next day totally cleaning out and reorganizing! It was a lot of fun to watch Rexford's excitement and we had a great time! I don't have pictures of everything since it is hard to take pictures and help and enjoy all at the same time. Aly and Todd got Rexford Chuck E Cheese tokens so I'll post pictures when we go use them! Thanks everyone for a fun Christmas!

The boys were so excited to come out to find a train table from Santa!

Shannon and Wayne got Rexford the jumbo checkers he has been saying he wanted for months

Austin was tired by this point in the day :)

While we were Christmas shopping Rexford told me that I didn't buy him any gift cards so my dad got him one for McDonalds - he is very excited to use it of course!
Papa got him Rocky, the talking and dancing dump truck - Rexford loves Rocky and laughs when Rocky dances and sleeps. You can find Rexford in his room playing with Rocky a lot lately loading him up and dumping stuff, pushing him around, and making him dance.
Papa got Austin a cute outfit and this fun litle car with a handle so I can push him on walks - he loves it!

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures at the Ursic Christmas get together. I was helping the boys open stuff and trying to keep it all together and it was too hard to take pictures too. I took these from Audrey and Eric :) The kids had lots of fun and got plenty of fun toys. They all got the popular Zhu zhu pets and books and other fun toys from Grandma and Grandpa and Great Grandma too.

It's Snowing!

A couple of days before Christmas we drove to Celebration so the kids could enjoy some "snow." We went two years ago but didn't make it last year and I really wanted to go this year because both kids are at an age where they would enjoy it. They both did enjoy it although Brian and I thought that they had a lot less snow this year. It seemed like there was a lot more last time but the kids still enjoyed watching it fall and having it on their heads and faces. After the snow the boys and I went on a fun train ride. Brian then chased Austin trying to prevent him from running in the fountain while Rexford and I played a few arcade games. We had lots of fun together!

Austin Update

Austin seems to be older lately and can definitely express himself even though his words are few. He has learned how to throw a little fit when something is taken from him or when we try to put him in his carseat. He grunts and points at food and toys he wants. He enjoys eating food he can feed himself and doesn't care for baby food anymore. He has lots of energy and loves to play outside. He loves to climb and bounce and spin. He loves music and dances all the time. He is mostly a happy little boy and very sweet, giving kisses all the time. Here are some pictures from the other day when Rexford was napping and Austin and I were playing in his room.

He loves to rock in the rocking chair by himself

He even likes to stand on the moving rocking chair, making mommy very nervous

He tries to climb everything
He stands on his sit n spin toy :)

He loves hats

He is always giving kisses to real and fake animals and of course people

so sweet

climbing of course

Happy Birthday Brian!

Brian's birthday is just three days before Christmas and Rexford was so excited to help make cupcakes and have a little party. He decided he wanted to make cupcakes instead of a cake and helped me ice them. He kept asking to sing and do candles so we finally did them at dinner time. Austin really wanted a cupcake too and kept grabbing at them. I had to hide them during dinner so he could focus on eating :) We love Daddy!

Daddy's Ties

We have started to always leave our bedroom door closed. If we don't you can often find the boys pulling Brian's ties out of the closet and putting them around their necks. They usually just pull out one for each of them and wear them around but the other day they had lots of fun with all of the ties.

blurry but you get the idea...
Austin usually wears it around his neck but he loves to have a tie draped on him and smiles when we tell him he looks just like Daddy.
Rexford proudly wearing a lot of ties and Austin wishing he had one :)

Rexford decided to decorate his room with the ties. Cute but I had to put a stop to it when he began pulling Brian's shirts out of the closet to use for decorating too!

Winter Pajamas

The boys needed new winter pjs and I was going to wait until Christmas but Rexford saw them and was so excited about his new polar bear pajamas so I let them start wearing them now. Rexford is really tired in these pictures since it was the day we went to Disney but here are my cute boys in their cool pajamas.
