Deep Thoughts from Rexford

Rexford has been asking questions about death, heaven, etc. lately. Here is the conversation we had with Rexford today in the car.

Rexford: Do you know who lives in the sky? Jesus. Jesus lives in heaven.

Me: That's right.

Rexford: Jesus is a king. He lives in a big castle in heaven.

Me: Kind of.

Rexford: He does, he's a king. I used to live in heaven when you and Daddy got married. I lived in heaven with Jesus. I was sad and I missed you. Do you know who else lives in heaven?

Me: who?

Rexford: Mr. Davis (my dad's neighbor who died a few weeks ago) lives in heaven with Jesus.

Me: Yes, that's right.

Rexford: When will he get to come back to our town?

Me: Well, he won't but one day Mrs. Davis will go to heaven and then they'll be together.

Rexford: Who will watch their kids?

Brian: Well, they are old enough to watch themselves but one day they will go to heaven too. Everyone will go to heaven someday.

Rexford: Yea, I will go to heaven one day. But I will miss you guys.

Me: Well, we'll probably already be there hopefully. Then we'll be together.

Rexford: There's more people in heaven. Somebody misses them.

Oh my goodness! Sometimes he knows way too much for a three year old :) I have been trying to tell him it's a long way off and not to worry about it but he's always asking a lot of questions about everything!

Warm weather coming soon!

I have been so sick of the cold weather this winter and so ready for warm weather. It was nice outside and so we went over to Aly's house and then walked to her park. Here are a couple of cute park pictures of the kids. They are so happy to be outside too!

Not a park pic but here's Rexford playing some Wii at Aly's

Matthew is so adorable!

Can't believe how grown up Rexford is getting :( He's a sweetheart
At Aly's house Austin likes to climb in to Matthew's walker and cruise around the house. His legs are way too long so they are bent but he doesn't seem to mind!

It's finally my turn!

Poor Austin tries to get the computer every chance he gets. I keep thinking I should let him play some baby games on it but I have been bad about actually doing it. The other day I found him sitting at the computer SO HAPPY! I will try to be better about letting him use it.

Money Money Money

Rexford has liked to collect money and put it in his piggy bank for awhile now. Now Austin has become interested and loves to hold his bank and drop money in. He gets really mad if I don't let him play with it! If they keep it up they should have lots of money when they are older :)

And here is just some brotherly cuteness!

Carnival Fun

Every year we go to the Dover Shores Elementary School Carnival. This year Rexford was old enough to actually do most everything and he loved the games and the pony ride. Austin just sat in the stroller and ate lollipops this year :) They had a fire truck and an ambulance there for the kids to check out and Rexford liked sitting in the back of the ambulance. Fun times!

Bathtub Cutie

It had been a long time since the boys had their hair cut because of being busy and moving. Austin's hair had gotten thick and long and I actually was kind of attached to it. Brian finally cut their hair one evening and I was sad at first. It does look better but I missed his messy hair :) He was all smiles in the bathtub after the cut with his lollipop and then was so cute as he curled up on the couch so tired.

Rexford's First Primary Activity

Rexford attended his first primary activity in February and was so excited. He kept telling me that we had to be on time. They practiced secret service tasks they could do at home like sorting/folding laundry, making their own sandwich, making their bed, sweeping, and picking up toys. He had lots of fun!
