Uncomfortable...

I don't think I could fall asleep like this unless I had been awake for days or something. I put Austin in his crib this morning because he seemed tired but I wasn't sure if he would go to sleep. I went in to check a couple of minutes later and found him sleeping like this.

Cousin Fun

Last week my cousin Heather was in town visiting with her three boys so went to play at her fun hotel water park. We had lots of fun and were nice and tired at the end of the day :) It was great to see them again and we hope they visit soon!

I told Rexford he could have a milkshake on the way home. He took two sips and was out! It was not so thick once we got home but he enjoyed it anyway.

Baby Steps

Austin has been getting braver lately about letting go and taking a step or two. Today he was taking lots of steps! My little baby is getting so big. It's so fun to watch him!

Aquatica

We've been going to Aquatica each week all summer long and having lots of fun! We went today and got a free photo. Here we are about to go cool off and splash around!


*Rexford only has one shoe on because it fell off and I would have put it back on but the lady actually got him to smile instead of pretending he was asleep so we took the picture anyway :)

Watching Airplanes

We haven't been to watch airplanes in a few weeks so we decided to go the other day. We found a new fun place to watch them take off so I wanted to go back there. It wasn't as busy as when we were there before but we still got to see a few and have some fun family time.

Lunch with Daddy

Rexford has been asking to see Daddy's school and classroom so today we went to have lunch with Brian. Rexford was so excited and kept asking if it was time to go all morning. He helped me pack their lunches and drinks and told me exactly what we needed. He had lots of fun but wanted to Daddy to come home with us instead of staying. He really misses him now that he's back to work. Here are some pictures from our day.

Father/Son Fire Truck

Rexford has been asking Brian to help him put together this Home Depot fire truck kit that my mom had picked up. This morning they got out their tools and put it together. It was supposed to come with stickers to put on the fire truck for decoration but sadly the sticker page was missing from our pack :( We decided we'll let him paint it another day. He didn't seem to care though and has been playing with it all day. It even has a fun whistle on top!

Mr. Mechanic

Rexford decided his power wheels needed some work so he pulled out all of his tools and fixed it! He loves to go around the house and "work" on things.

Austin Update

Here's a little update on our little Austin. I never wrote it down so for record-keeping purposes Austin got his bottom two teeth at the same time on July 18th. He is very interested in what we are eating and enjoys eating bits of my mashed potatoes, grilled cheese sandwich, nectarine, blueberries, yogurt, cheese, and the occassional taste of ice cream :) He is almost ready to walk and has taken a step a couple of times. He still gets nervous when he realizes he's not holding on to anything and will sit down. He is always after Rexford's toys - Rexford does not like this and is always putting stuff on his bed out of reach or shutting his door or yelling for me to "move this baby!" He started clapping this week a lot and it's so cute! Here are a couple of fun Austin videos.

Cupcake Outing

We had a sisters outing (plus kids) on Wednesday to sweet! by GOOD GOLLY MISS HOLLY in the Waterford Lakes shopping area. Rexford got two mini cupcakes and icing and m&ms to decorate. He still wasn't feeling great so we took them home to eat later. After enjoying our cupcakes we all walked down to Petland where Christina showed us the dog she'd buy if she had lots more money and Shannon found a cute one she wanted. No one left with a dog but Rexford had lots of fun looking at them. Then we headed over to Barnes and Noble to play with trains and look at books. We had lots of fun!
