Busch Gardens Fun

Here are pictures from our third Busch Gardens trip. I hope it's not the last, I am going to try to squeeze one more trip in before the passes expire. My dad and Aly and Matthew came with us and of course we had lots of fun. I went on the wooden roller coaster and it was so rough! I think I will stick with the modern ones from now on :) The boys had fun checking out the animals on the train ride and then walking around looking at the orangutans and tigers. They loved the kid rides and especially this fun bounce house place. Here are some pictures of our day.

This ride is only for kids and adults aren't allowed so all three boys got to go on it together. They had lots of fun and were all smiles!
After the ride - they were so cute! They loved it!

That morning when we were getting ready to leave to go to Busch Gardens Rexford came to me and said, "Mom I am going to try really hard to take a picture with a character today." I was so surprised because I always tell him he doesn't have to and he is usually so scared. When we got there he bravely posed for a picture with the biggest character - Big Bird! I was so proud of him!

Here we are on the kiddie roller coaster. I had to convince Rexford to go with me on it because I love it and he went but then didn't want to go again :)

Austin was mad that he was just short of the height requirement for this one but Rexford got to go and loved it

The boys had a blast on this giant jumping area! They jumped forever and had so much fun! I was surprised that Austin could do it but he bounced and walked and loved it.

Rexford hopped in and then immediately demanded to be changed back into his clothes because it was way too cold.

Such a great picture and everyone is smiling! Papa with the three boys!

Happy Birthday Austin!

Austin is 2!!! It's hard to believe! The morning was spent at Aunt Lisa's house making his birthday cake and then we picked up Rexford from school and the birthday fun began! We went to lunch at Chick-fil-A with my mom and the boys had lots of fun climbing and playing and they ate a little in between. They enjoyed a cupcake and ice cream and Austin loved his presents - a tape measure and a chainsaw. After that fun Austin took a nice nap and then it was time for presents and cake with some more family. He ran around with his cousins and loved all of his gifts! He got a tricycle, a blower, a tool set, a nail gun, a drill, a screwdriver, playdoh, M&Ms, and a little stroller. Everyone enjoyed playing with the new toys! Austin was so cute for his cake - he tried to blow the candle out but he was blowing so lightly. Brian lifted him up and then he was able to blow it out! So cute! It was a great day. We love Austin and we're so glad he's part of our family!

I was surprised but Austin climbed right up and followed Rexford. They had lots of fun!

Awesome Busytown cake - There isn't any stuff in the store for this Richard Scarry theme so I found some 1995 McDonalds toys still wrapped online and bought them to use for the cake. I think it turned out cute and Austin loved it! Thanks Lisa for the help!
Getting ready to sing - he wasn't quite sure what was going on
I just think he's adorable :)

Austin's 2 Year Appointment

Today I took Austin for his 2 year old appointment since his birthday is tomorrow! I can't believe he's turning two. My baby is getting so big! He's still long and skinny weighing in the 50% at 28 lbs (Rexford was 38 at this age) and in the 75% for height at 35 3/8 in (Rexford was 37.5 inches). So he's not as tall and heavy as his big brother but he's still got some height and he's much lighter for me to carry!!! He did well at the appointment. He was a little nervous about the nurse and doctor touching him but he tolerated it for the most part and called her doctor and waved bye. He especially enjoyed the sticker and lollipop but didn't care for the two shots. Since we got home he occasionally holds his arm and says "oww!" He's doing great, talking a ton, and is so adorable. We love our little Austin!

Here are a couple of videos of Austin the last couple of weeks. The first one is of him playing baseball and he's pretty good! The second one is of him talking which he's getting better and better at everyday.

Fall Evenings

It's been nice some evenings and the boys have been enjoying playing outside. They love to mow the lawn with their toy mowers, draw with chalk, play with playdoh, play tennis and golf. Here are some pictures I've taken of them enjoying outside.

Spooktacular 2010

Shannon's shower was a busy morning but then while Austin was napping that afternoon I decided to take the boys to Sea World for some fun trick-or-treating. I picked up Aly and Matthew and we headed over late afternoon. It was crowded but not terrible. Austin wasn't sure what was going on really but I told him if he kept his hat on he would get candy. It worked! I didn't want the boys to be too hot so they wore some dress-up clothes I got at the store really cheap that are pretty thin. Austin wore a construction worker vest and hat and Rexford chose the Army hat and vest. The costumes were perfect and kept the boys from sweating too much. It only took one or two stops before Austin realized he just had to hold the bag and people would give him candy. They loved the trick-or-treating, all the decorations and characters, the bubble machines, and riding the carousel. I love Halloween time and seeing the boys have fun!

Conway Days

Rexford's preschool had a carnival the first Saturday in October and we went for a little bit in the morning. The first thing the boys did was the bounce house. I was really surprised that Austin jumped in there by himself. I thought he wouldn't do it without me but he hopped right in and had a great time jumping with Rexford. Then we walked over to check out the fire truck. Austin loved the fire truck and didn't want to get out! We took him out and he tried to climb back up. Then we let the boys go on the pony ride and Austin was so excited! Rexford loved it too but Austin was dying to get on and held on and went around by himself. We then played some games, ate some food and ended our fun time by doing the cupcake walk. Here are some pictures of our fun day.
